Newton Cap Viaduct

In my latest project, I focused on capturing the Newton Cap Viaduct, a historic structure that spans the River Wear near Bishop Auckland. Originally built in the 1850s for the railway, this viaduct is a remarkable example of Victorian engineering. My aerial footage showcases the viaduct’s impressive arches as they gracefully stretch across the river and the lush landscape below, while ground-level photography highlights the intricate stonework and the surrounding natural beauty. This project aims to celebrate the viaduct’s historical significance and its enduring presence in the landscape of County Durham.
