Belmont Viaduct & Frankland Brickworks
In a recent project, I captured the intriguing beauty of the Belmont Viaduct and the nearby abandoned Frankland Brickworks, using a blend of aerial footage and ground-level photography. The aerial views offer a sweeping perspective of the Belmont Viaduct, revealing its striking arches as they span across the lush landscape, highlighting the structure’s grandeur and its role in the region’s historical transport network. Complementing this, my ground-level photography delves into the atmospheric remnants of the Frankland Brickworks, focusing on the decaying structures and the textured layers of brick that tell the story of a once-thriving industrial site. Together, these visual narratives bring to life the contrast between the enduring majesty of the viaduct and the hauntingly beautiful decay of the brickworks, preserving the legacy of these lesser-known but significant landmarks.
